Boot Production
WHERE WE LEFT OUR HEARTS
Our boots are made with natural leathers, and like the lining and soles, we use cowhide with thicknesses ranging from 1.6 mm to 2 mm. They are tanned exclusively in tanneries, both domestic and foreign, that are certified in environmental protection.
Production at Loblan is a continuous process. The product is considered handcrafted, and as such, it passes through the hands of all our expert factory workers. We use only the highest quality raw materials and are very meticulous with every element used in production. We seek out the best suppliers on the market to further guarantee the quality of our boots. Leathers, glues, soles, threads, waxes, dyes, saltpeter, accessories, and other materials are handled carefully until we achieve the perfect product.
“Their boots were carefully crafted using the best techniques and methods, integrating absolutely all the necessary materials of optimal quality, using leathers, linings, insoles, soles, heels and other reinforcements and implements that are completely natural; assembled with the traditional “welt” system which consists of stitching the leather to the sole with double internal and external stitching, which guarantees waterproofing, insulation and durability, even in adverse conditions.”
The assembly system uses "Goodyear Welt," a traditional and artisanal production system that guarantees the comfort and durability of the boots by having double assembly stitching, using equipment that is rarely seen in the footwear industry today, but which gives the user the opportunity to have a product of noble materials and workmanship.
Die-cutting machines are used for the soles and leather uppers. Sewing machines are used to join all the components: vamp, shaft, sole, etc. We also have riveting machines, assembly and disassembly machines, insole-making machines, and more. We have the right machinery for every process.
From the moment a boot is designed in the pattern-making department until its completion, it undergoes several production processes: cutting, sewing, assembly, and final finishing. This last process is particularly rigorous. The boot must arrive at the customer's location in perfect condition, and any that do not meet the requirements are returned to the production department for repair.
